The purple door was the first Lap Dancing club I had been to outside of London, this was a few years back just after it originally opened. I fell in love with the place back then, reasonably priced (a bargain compared to London venues) and nice laid back atmosphere - not to mention the stunning girls and very close dancers. So revisiting Purple Door for this review was an interesting experience.
We visited mid-week as I personally prefer less crowded clubs, where you at least have a chance to talk with the girls before and after dancers. The club was quiet as to be expected but with still a good choice of girls on. The price had risen but only to £8, and the drinks remained at £3.50 a beer. Dancers are £10 each and tend to last for a track and half on average. The dancers I had this night were a mixed bunch, some very friendly and close - just as I remember, others not as good or as close.
Although the atmosphere and dancers were not as good as I remember them, we still had a great night in Purple door. In Leeds its always a tough choice between Purple Door and the newer Blue Leopard. In my opinion Purple Door still falls slightly short of the atmosphere, decor and dance quality that Blue Leopard offers - but that said its still one of my favourite clubs in the UK and will of course continue to visit.
